Dear debater,

Monash University is launching a new Debating Journal this year and we are currently soliciting papers from interested debaters.  Papers should be on an issue specifically related to debating (either a case study or an analysis of the arguments for and against a particular issue).  All submissions will be refereed prior to deciding which entries will be published in the inaugural edition.

There will be a AUD$400 prize for the best paper (as judged by the editorial committee) and entries are open to anyone interested in submitting, regarless of their status as either a university student or a member of a debating society.

If you are interested, please open the attachment which contains all the relevant details.  If you are not interested, please forward this email on to anyone you think would be (having regard for the fact that we are already sending this to everyone in the debating community for whom we have email addresses).

The Review will also contain a series of reports from debating societies around the world.  You may be contacted directly by Doug Stewart (sub-editor) and asked to complete a questionaire aimed at providing the international debating community with information and contacts from societies around the world.
