Three Speakers have won both the Best Team and
best individual awards.
Anthony J Adolf Won the Team competition in 1967 with UCC
Philosoph and then the individudual competition in 1969 again with UCC Philosoph
In 1971 and 1972 Donal Deeny won the Team competition with TCD
Hist and also won the individual competition in 1972.
Maurice Biggar won the Individual competition in 1979 with UCD
L&H and then the Team competition in 1980 also with UCD L&H
Since then a ban has been placed on past winners re-entering the
competition and a member of the winning team cannot also win the individual prize
